Winter Daphne

Return to Plants and Shrubs page.

 Latin name: Daphne odora

A gem of the winter garden, winter daphne is popular for its intoxicating fragrance. Clusters of white to pink blushed flowers appear in  February and March. The dark green glossy foliage makes a dense rounded shrub that stays green all year.  This small specimen was three months in the ground when the picture was taken.
